International work

What does the group for international work do:

CF will share knowledge from children with organisations, professionals, policy makers, legislators and researchers around the world, so that more people understand the importance of working with children to find solutions that make children's lives better.

We do this, among other things, through these activities:

  • Young professional consultants are professionals with additional professional responsibilities. They present knowledge from children at events for professionals, authorities and researchers in other countries. CF has presented in Estonia, Sweden, Portugal, the Netherlands and Denmark, and at several international research conferences in recent years.
  • Organizes webinar with opportunities for exchange of experience for organisations working in the field of knowledge collection from children. organisations from India, Northern Ireland, Nepal, Portugal and Belgium have participated in the events
  • Young professional consultants sit in the steering group for the Nordic Network for Children's Involvement (NNBI), see i.a. on how professional studies in Denmark and Sweden can include more knowledge directly from children
  • Main responses from FF's reports are used to provide direct input to the UN Children's Committee on how children in Norway experience that their rights under the Convention on the Rights of the Child are fulfilled
  • Professional consultants and factory workers write and publish international input and articles
  • Professional consultants and factory workers participate in reference and steering groups for international research projects, including the European project PANDA - (Participation and collaboration for Action), which looks at children's involvement in the Child Protection System, and ORCHID with, among others, Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and the University of Agder, which is researching how dental services can identify and follow up children who experience violence and abuse
